From Korea with love
The immersive artists are finally here
Hello everyone,
Is there any better way to start the new year than with a trip to Korea and bring music to life in your living room? Nope, there isn’t.
In this edition, we’ll bring you our latest spotlight straight from Korea, Teravibe, showcase the company that’s using your living room as their stage for their musicians, Soapbox, tell you how NVIDIA is jumping into spatial with its latest glasses patent, and how to use VR in the court of law.
Remember, if you want access to the parsach platform you need to request an invite on Discord, TikTok, Instagram, or YouTube because we’re currently invite-only.
Now, let’s get into the news 📰
NVIDIA
We’re just starting 2025 and NVIDIA has already filled a pattern for spatial glasses!
It looks their ambition is to go head to head with the rest of the players in this space while focussing in AR display system leveraging self-interference holography and neural network control to deliver selective optical occlusion without additional light sources. Here’s some of the key features:
Experience high-contrast images with natural vision thanks to our innovative light manipulation.
AI automatically fine-tunes settings for perfect optical clarity and distortion correction.
Rich stereoscopic AR with independent light paths for each eye.
VR court
In a remarkable legal development, a Florida judge has opened the door for virtual reality (VR) simulations to be used as evidence in an aggravated assault case.
The defense presented a VR animation to portray the incident from the defendant’s perspective, striving to give the court a deeper, immersive understanding of the events. This groundbreaking decision sets a powerful precedent for the integration of XR technology into the judicial system, illustrating VR’s potential to illuminate complex truths in legal proceedings.
Describing Tera’s work is almost like trying to describe how dream works.
It’s magical and unique, and the only certainty you have is that you’re in another world. Tera describes herself as an immersive artist, but it's clear that she is so much more. She's a remarkable creator with incredible attention to detail in all the layers of her experiences and with the ability to craft grand visions from scratch.
That’s why we are thrilled to introduce the phenomenal Teravibe to our community.
Q: What inspired you to create immersive, audio-visual storytelling experiences on YouTube?
A: I have loved various genres of music since I was a little girl, and I have always felt impactful visual inspiration from music. So for me, sight and hearing have always been like a perfect set that is beautifully harmonized. The happiest choice I have made in my life as a human being started from this point. My ultimate mission is to embody this "powerful audiovisual-sensory experience" that I have felt in some form and share it with the world. And YouTube was the best platform that an individual like me could choose as a test place to realize my dream.
Q: Your videos often take viewers to fantastical settings like “An Astronomer’s Dream” or underwater realms. Could you share your creative process for conceptualizing and designing these unique environments?
A: In my daily life, I always write down or sketch in my notebook the visual experiences that come to mind with music and the storylines/concepts that are combined with it with a pen.
And if possible, I start my work periodically following a routine for production. Once I have a concept that I am definitely inspired by, the overall planning for it is usually finished in just a few minutes. And I just start right away. As for the details, I tend to just decide based on my feelings at the time.
(The process of turning an idea into something tangible is very enjoyable, but it is never always easy. This process cannot be standardized, and it is natural that each creator has his or her own order and method. I think the important thing is to design a routine for creation that you can perform and have the habit of executing.
Even at this moment I still have a lot of fantastic ideas inside me that I have not been able to create, but I always make excuses that I do not have enough time. Haha.)
Q: How does your approach blending visual and sound design in your videos? Do you create the music first or is the visuals?
A: Most of my beginnings start with music as I said.
Then I explore the methods/techniques that I can most closely make my imaginary landscape visually. And after I succeed in implementing it, I design all the sounds that fit that scene. I arrange the music that I wanted to integrate as well as realistic ambient sounds.
Q: What’s next for Teravibe? Can you share any upcoming projects or visions for the future of immersive storytelling on your channel?
A: My passion for immersive storytelling has never ever faded.
I want to share my sensory experiences with the world in any form. However, the method and format to express it requires a lot of thought and challenges, so I’m still trying to find better ways to do it. And I’ve recently been experimenting with the possibilities of another form of storytelling by introducing some AI tools into some part of my workflow.
Starting next year, I’ll be releasing new/better forms of immersive content on my channel that reflect the results of these experiments. Stay tuned!
One last thing
In 2025 we’ll continue our mission to team up and showcase the companies that are trailblazing the XR space and bringing to us the future of entertainment.
This time we want to show you a company that brings your favorite artists right into your living room and by doing so, changes the way you experience music.
So, let’s pass the mic to Soapbox.
Until next time, and connect with us in Discord, TikTok, Instagram, YouTube.
